Pine and Oak woodlands with views of Mt. San Jacinto and Mt. San Gorgonio. There are wildflowers in April through the summer. Remains of an old gold mine from the 1880s can be seen on the trail. Conditions are very hot and dry in the summer so lots of water must be carried. WATER IN THE CREEK IS NOT DRINKABLE. Hats and boots are a MUST. A car shuttle is suggested for pickup at the trail’s end. This trail gets a lot of use by mountain bikers. Please remember to use caution and keep speed down. Please use trail etiquette – horses have the right of way.
