Yosemite has its own ski resort, the small, historic Badger Pass, and a good number of other resorts all but ring the park. The huge Mammoth Mountain and the not-quite-as-immense (but nearly so) Bear Valley Mountain Resort and Kirkwood are a few of these. Northern California does not lack for snow or skiable acreage.
