Cascades - Scenic Drives

At the southern end of the Cascade Range the roads run from shady forest to otherworldly lava formations via glittering streams and lofty summits like Mount Shasta. The Modoc Volcanic Scenic Byway has Mount Shasta as its center,  fronted by surreal volcanic forms, while stretches of high desert frame the State of Jefferson Scenic Byway.  Use the Emigrant Trail as a scenic link to other area byways in both Oregon and California.
