Mendocino County California - Tourist Attractions / Parks

Mendocino County's natural assets are what bring most travelers to this coastal region, whether it's hiking in state parks, wandering beaches or tackling both simultaneously at spots like Mendocino Headlands State Park that appeals. However, Mendocino County is not without its man-made attractions. The glittering shores of Glass Beach (where Mother Nature has recycled many a glass bottle) also attract  tourists, while the historic Skunk Train's route through trees and past cliffs also make it one of those not-to-be-missed activities (Mendocino County might also be known for its marijuana production but this is not where the train gets its nickname). And Mendocino County has a rich tradition of live theater - even circus theater, to entertain visitors between wine-tasting and art gallery going in places like quaint little Mendocino, a small community at the Pacific's edge.
