Palm Springs has a more subdued glitter than its neighbor, Los Angeles, but it does have its edge of glitter. Palm Springs has drawn celebrities as both visitors and residents and has its own "Walk of Stars," as well as a shopping district that rivals Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive: El Paseo.

Palm Springs is, however, not all glitter. It has a very strong natural side. The famous Palm Springs Tramway may be extravagant in its heights, but allows lovers of the outdoors access to some of the most spectacularly alpine trails in Southern California. The four sacred Indian Canyons are filled with rock art and rock formations, as well as waterfalls and rich varieties of fauna and flora.
