Basic Directions
To reach the upper end, take Sunrise Highway from I-8 (near Pine Valley) and drive north 13.5 miles to just past the second cattle guard on the highway. Park on either side of the highway in the paved turnout. Access to the Indian Creek trail is via the Noble Canyon trail (which departs the western turnout and is marked by a small sign.) Follow the Noble Canyon trail about 2 miles to reach the Indian Creek trail junction.
Description
The trail traverses areas of Jeffrey Pine, Black Oak, Coast Live Oak and extensive stands of mixed chaparral. The trail connects to the Pine Mountain Trail and to the East Mesa Trail at the boundary of Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.
The Trail is not Passable to pack and saddle stock beyond the Pine Mountain Trail junction (until the East Mesa Trail is reached).
