Scuba diving and snorkeling opens up a wide array of natural and man-made wonders beneath the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Off the coast of La Jolla Cove is an ecological reserve, San Diego's "underwater park," which is a popular spot to see the unique fish in these waters such as the giant black sea bass. The waters near Point Loma are home to a beautiful kelp forest. Also nearby is Wreck Alley, where the wreckage of several large ships can be seen. Underwater visibility is best in fall months.
